why it's a big deal

  • It proves skills are becoming the UX layer of agents: ten lines of behavioral rules change the daily experience more than most model swaps do, and 13k developers starred a markdown file to say so.
  • Distribution runs through plugin marketplaces, not git clones - one command installs it and keeps it updated across hosts. Skills are starting to behave like packages, registry semantics included.
  • The customization story is fork-to-tune: the SKILL.md is the entire product, so editing the rules and swapping in your fork is the whole workflow. Prompt engineering with version control and a changelog.

under the hood

  • One repo ships manifests for Claude Code plugins, Codex plugins, Cursor skills and Gemini CLI extensions, plus hooks and an eval suite to check the style actually holds.
  • The ten rules are loosely adapted from The Adult ADHD Tool Kit, rewritten for how an LLM should respond rather than how a human should plan a day.
  • MIT-licensed, with READMEs in English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean - a decent proxy for where the demand is coming from.
